[HCRA] Field Day Scores

Hey gang,

As I sit here in the rain, basement quietly flooding and wondering if the
sun will ever shine on WMA again I can look back at the enjoyable time we
all had at Field Day this year. Hard work, great effort and tremendous
dedication from everyone involved shows in the results. What's not showing
is the fun everyone had, the great picnic and food, the public demonstration
of ham radio, the fun of mixing it up with our fellow hams and the
excitement and involvement of all who attended.

I think this was our fourth consecutive year at Dufresne Park. Although
expensive, it certainly has provided a great platform for both a Field Day
and picnic event. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who put their individual
desires aside and immersed yourself in creating an event that all HCRA
members and guests could be proud of, now we have to start planning for next
year.

As we look forward it would really be nice if someone stepped forward, put
on the FD cap and started the FD planning for FD2006, the HCRA way. It's not
a hard job, the site is available, the cook has committed and we have just
about all the equipment we need. What say you, any volunteers out there?

In closing, we all can be proud of our efforts and results, all of which
make HCRA a special club in WMA.

(oh, I have dropped a note to Dan about the ENY thing - I'm sure that will
be corrected).

'73 and thanks to all,

Jim, KK1W

CONGRATS TO ALL! Awesome for making it in the top 100 out of the entire
country. I can't wait for next year!

Your Cook,
