Hey Gang,

Andy and Erik (KB1FVL and KB1FSU) need your help to build a walking and
fitness park in Agawam. By completing this project they will earn their
Eagle badge and the townspeople of Agawam will get a fine addition to their
town.

Please take the time to look through their needs. One local retailer has
already donated all the hardware for the project. Can you, or do you know,
of anyone who may help out.

Thanks & '73...

Jim, KK1W

Dear Townspeople,
We are Andrew and Erik Jensen, from Boy Scout Troop 82 of the Agawam
Congregational Church, and we are working toward becoming Eagle Scouts.

In order to obtain the rank of Eagle, one must complete a service project
that benefits their community. They must organize, lead volunteers and
obtain approval through the town, and the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) prior
to executing the project. Once approval has been granted, the project can
begin.

We chose to build a walking and fitness park for the Town of Agawam at
Borgatti Field on River Road. Recently, the town has added a biking path
across from Borgatti Field which serves as the parking lot for the path,
making our fitness park easily accessable. This combination of a bike path
and fitness park will inspire all ages of our community to lead a more fit
and healthy lifestyle. We are very excited for our community that our
project has been approved by the Boy Scouts of America, the Agawam
Beautification Committee, the Town Planner, the Parks and Recreation
Director and the Mayor of Agawam.

We need your support in order to complete our Eagle Project. We are in need
of materials, volunteers, use of equipment, and financial support to build
the fitness stations and walking trail. Below you will find a list of much
needed supplies and more details on our project. If you would like more
information on our project please feel free to contact either Andrew or Erik
at the aforementioned contact information.

We believe that Scouting teaches great values and enriches a boy's life in a
way that no other program can - it has a life long impact. We hope that the
park we build help BSA to continue with their traditions of enrichment while
augmenting our community. Any help that you can give to help us achieve our
goal will be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Andrew P. JensenErik P. Jensen
