Hi gang,

Once again HCRA has had a Field Day to remember. Braving extremely high
temperatures dozens of members and guests pitched in and had a great time.
As usual everything went off like clockwork. Antennas and stations were
setup and ready for operation by 2:00 PM on Saturday.

The GOTA station had hundreds of contacts with many people getting their
first exposure to amateur radio. Between the VHF, Satellite, digital, CW and
phone stations it's a wonder anyone had time to eat. But eat they did and
Andy did his usual fine job of creating meals for hungry hams that kept them
working and happy. All throughout many kept the generators running, station
patched together and still found time to operate.

Watch the web site for pictures, scores and soapbox comments. They will be
posted soon.

I wish I could have personally thanked each participant for their help but
it's hard to cover the entire site and not miss anyone. Let me take this
opportunity to thank all of you for your enthusiasm and commitment to make
Field Day another success this year. As I've said many times before, this is
the force that makes HCRA one of the best amateur radio clubs.

'73 and enjoy your summer. Have fun, work lots of DX and we will see you in
September.

Jim, KK1W
