The cut-off date for Zero Beat is rapidly approaching for the February Issue
(January 20th). If you want to get published now's the time to finish up
your article and email it off to John at: mailto:kx1x at arrl.net. I know he
will greatly appreciate your input.
February 4th is our next meeting and it's going to be a doozie. Steve from
QRP labs will be on hand to talk about the fun of QRP. How many miles/watt
is your station capable of? Steve will also focus on the challenges (and
fun) of building small kits.
QRP Labs has generously donated an SSB QRP kit ($239 value) for the February
auction - I don't think you will want to miss this one!
John, N1JIO will be on hand at 7:00 PM for Tech Corner. February's
discussion will focus on computer interfacing of rigs. Need to know more,
visit John and find out.
Pay attention to the kit building part of this month's meeting because March
is....you guessed it: Show & Tell! A $50 gift certificate to HRO awaits the
Novice and Expert that wins in each category. Time to start working on that
project now don't you think?
10M was open again this weekend even with sunspots in the basement. 15M was
not bad either. 40 and 80 have been simply superb! Don't use the declining
solar cycle as an excuse not to operate. Get out there and have fun!
