[HCRA] Query on cheap rotor control boxes...

When I purchased a new rig, an antennas in July, the budget called for a 
cheap rotor system.  Since the antennas could be handled by a 
lightweight TV rotor, I bought one of those.  You get what you pay for!  
Its about 2 months away, and the control box spit out a plastic chunk today.

If my memory serves, any of those controllers within the class can be 
interchanged?  If I can find one of the older controllers with metal 
parts that might last longer until I upgrade the rotor, is it likely to 
work?

I'm going to contact the manuf. but I don't expect much. Its 3 conductor 
driven.
