Hello everyone,

Just a reminder about our first meeting of the new season. It's this Friday
(that's tomorrow evening) at the usual location.

What's up at this meeting? We've got a great talk by Dan Henderson, N1ND
about the ARRL's Logbook of the World (LotW), Tom Frenaye, K1KI will be on
hand to bring us up to date on BPL and hand out some nice awards, a really
great raffle prize (Alinco DJ596 HT) and a few other surprises too. What a
great way to kick off the Labor Day weekend.

Zero Beat this month was mailed to all members and bound into this issue is
a new (renewal) application. Please fill out the application and bring it
along with your dues Friday evening so we can get you on the rolls for 2005.
Additionally if you renew before October 1st you will automatically be
entered in the raffle to win a Yaesu VX-150R HT. Your renewal is important
to the club as it allows us to set our budget and plan events for the coming
year. If everyone renews by October 1st we can hit the ground running for
2005!

Our apologies for the lack of an electronic version of Zero Beat this month.
Software problems have reared their ugly head and the .pdf is not yet
available. You shouldn't have missed it (didn't it come in the mail?) but if
you didn't get a copy we will have some extras on hand at the meeting. As
soon as we solve the software glitch it will be posted to the web site.

We've got lots in store for this Friday, but the best part of it is you -
the members. This will be the time to renew some old acquaintances, meet
some new hams and talk about what you did over the summer.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone Friday evening,

'73...

Jim, KK1W
