Hi everybody,
John has just released Zero Beat for December to all those getting it
electronically. If you're not on the email list you can still get it before
your USPS copy arrives by clicking: http://www.hcra.org/zerobeat/dec04.pdf.
John has put together an exceptional issue this month. It's packed with the
usual monthly stuff, plus new stuff from Dr. DX, happenings from the crew
and lots more. Enjoy!
Of course I can't close this message without reminding you of the Holiday
Party this Friday, December 3rd. It's 6:30 PM at our usual meeting place.
Food this year will again be catered by Pajer's market. The menu was
exceptional last year so we will be repeating again with the same
scrumptious assortment of chicken Diablo, ziti; you get the picture. Salads,
drinks and desserts are all provided. If you would like to bring along your
favorite dessert please do so - nothing like variety to fill a ham's tummy!
Instead of a guest speaker this year we will be having "Ham Jeopardy". Just
like the TV game up to nine players can compete to win a Yaesu VX150 HT. All
you need is good knowledge of some ham radio answers. You've still got time
to start perusing those Q signals!
Thanks to Marty, Larry, Andy, Erik & John for their hard work in getting the
party ready this year. There will be a bunch of table prizes also to round
out the evening. In the Holiday spirit the party is free of charge for every
HCRA member and a guest. Non-members are welcome for a small $15 donation
(and you get a free membership with your meal!) It should be fun and it
HCRA's way of saying thank you for your hard work and support throughout the
year.
I'm truly hoping to see everyone on Friday evening. Looks like the weather
will not be a factor so mark your calendars and be ready for fun on Friday!
'73 and as always - thanks for your support,
Jim, KK1W
