It is with great regret I have to relate to you another 'silent key' again
this year. Art Zavarella, W1KK joined the ranks of the SK's today. Art was
97 years old.

Although not heard much the past few years Art was active right up into his
early 90's. A mainstay in amateur radio in the valley most every ham
licensed more than 10 years I'm sure will remember him. I remember coming
home one day and getting a message he left for me - congratulating me for
becoming a ham. That was back in 1976.

There will be no calling hours. A mass will be held at 9:00 AM, Monday
morning, November 22nd at St. Johns Church, 823 Main Street, Agawam, MA.

Lets hope this is the last one for 2004.
