[HCRA] Another GREAT Auction!!!

I just want to drop a word of thanks to EVERYONE that participated in last
night's auction. We counted at least 110 people there and they were having
fun. Here's a few specifics from the auction.

The club had a huge amount of donations. We will know after Wednesday's
board meeting how well we made out but I'm certain the auction will make a
major contribution to our treasury.

The generosity of our members showed through again. $185 was collected for
the WB1Z donation to the ARRL Foundation. With matching funds from HCRA this
will be at least a $370 donation in Jim's name. I know he would be pleased.

At least one buyer drove five hours (from Pittsburg, NH) and said he
wouldn't miss the HCRA auction for the world!

A fantastic donation from W8DU (SK) of a Heath SB-200 amplifier and other
stuff was greatly appreciated by the club.  Also Steve, W1GSL brought a
large amount of donations for the estate of W1BG. Thanks Steve.

A nice donation from Biff, AA1DI that brought $50 directly to Venture Crew
DX.

The winner of the grand prize was our very own Jim Harrington, KB1JVF.
Congratulations Jim - maybe this will be just the incentive to get you over
the 5 WPM hump?

Norm sold 6 dozen donuts and two pots of coffee, proving the staple diet of
a ham has not moved over to Dr. Atkins!

And from the auctioneer, I couldn't have done it without the fantastic help

moved, cooked and cleaned up. Another success story for HCRA
