Good day everyone!

This coming Friday is Show & Tell. We're ready for you, is your project
ready? Your creation could win you a $50 HRO gift certificate, digital
multi-meter or a neat Yaesu hat. Add to that the satisfaction of showing
others how easy it is to make "neat stuff" for our hobby and you have =
more
than enough reasons to participate. Get those finishing touches on your
project and we'll look for you on Friday.

March's Zero Beat is on line and has hit the streets. Want your copy =
now?
Simply go to http://www.hcra.org/zerobeat/mar04.pdf to get it. As usual =
this
month's edition is full of HCRA happenings and upcoming events. Don't =
forget
to check out the Crew DX column and see what they have been up to =
lately.

Lots of activities coming soon. There is the WPX contest at the end of
March, flea markets are starting up again including the Flea at MIT =
starting
in April, Hosstraders on the 1st of May and of course Dayton in mid-May.

What does HCRA have in store? April's meeting will feature Gary, AA1UE
presenting APRS and other neat melding of technology and amateur radio =
You
might even get him to talk about the latest in amateur satellites if you =
pay
attention. In May we will host Kx1x with an overview of the JOTA he had =
the
pleasure of attending. What can we say about June? The meeting will have
both our annual Tail-gate Party and of course our annual elections.

Then, to wrap it all up is Field Day 2004. We have two very capable
chairpersons, Marty - W1MJB and Peter - KI1I and they are off and =
running
strong. I'm certain this years FD will be better organized than any of =
our
past efforts (and they were pretty good!). Please contact either Peter =
or
Marty and let them know what you would like to do this year.

Two more things and you can stop reading and get back to work.

1. Know anyone interested in taking a Technician class? We are only =
into
week 3 and a serious student could still join the class and have a great
chance of succeeding. Have them contact Peter if they want to sign up.

2. 2004/2005 elections. Isn't time to toss out the old crew and get =
some
new blood in here? We've a lot of smart, active members. Your club could
really use your input to keep us healthy as we move forward. What do you
say, isn't time to join the fun?

73 for now - have fun on the bands and see you Friday evening,

Jim, KK1W
