[HCRA] Happy New Year

I would like to wish everyone on the list a Happy New Year. Let's hope 2005
is a better year than 2004. Way too many of our members joined the ranks of
the 'silent keys' last year.

To start off the new year, the first issue of Zero Beat for 2005 is now on

good stuff again this month including a nice picture spread of the DX Crew's
visit to ARRL HQ this past Monday.

Next Friday is our first meeting and it will feature John Elsworth from the
Vintage Radio Museum. John always brings along real interesting artifacts
from the museum and can be counted on to do the same again next Friday. Come
join all your friends for our first get-together of the new year.

February's meeting is all QRP. Steve, WA1PDF will be on hand talking about
QRP, operating and small kit building. In addition Steve has generously
donated an SSB QRP kit for that evening's raffle - a $240 value. Thanks so
much Steve.

Don't forget about Straight Key Night (SKN) starting this evening. See the
rules at: http://www.arrl.org/contests/rules/2004/skn.html. What a neat way
to start the new year.
