1. Remove/trim any weak-looking trees/branches
2. Crank down the crank-ups.
3. Get rid of as many "missles" on your property as 
you can (put the grille in the garage, for example)
4. Take down (or loosen) the wire antennas or 
otherwise make them less susceptible to the swaying 
trees/falling branches
 
or do what I did - move from Long Island to upstate NY!
