Hi everyone,

The June issue of Zero Beat is now available on the HCRA website. Simply
click this link http://www.hcra.org/zerobeat/jun03.pdf to view the latest of
what's happening at HCRA. This month's issue is packed full of information
about Field Day and has a humorous(?) article about a two morons' adventures
in NEQP.

Speaking of NEQP, I hope everyone that made contacts during the contest has
sent in their logs and remembered to indicate HCRA as your club. If you
forgot about HCRA you can simply resubmit the log. I think we have a chance
of winning the club competition if everyone remembers to do this. Wouldn't
that be neat?

This coming Friday is our annual Tail Gate Party. For a paltry $5 fee you
can bring your stuff down to the regular meeting place at 6:30PM and turn
some of that old stuff into cash. There will be a big assortment of HCRA
items for sale at this years event. Expect to see VHF rigs, lots of VHF/UHF
antennas and test equipment to name a few. Prices will be 'VERY'
reasonable!!

Of course this is also annual election time. We do have a full slate but
would love to get some diversity. If you would like to toss you name into
the hat you have up until election time to do so. You can make a
difference - we would like to have you on board.

Field Day is a month away. Preparations are going well and it appears this
year's will be bigger than ever. That doesn't mean you can stay home!!! I
don't think so!!! I'm going to be taking names at this week's meeting so if
you don't want to participate you better hide in the kitchen!! I really
think we will have an outstanding Field Day. We have good organization, lots
of equipment, a nice menu and a great location. All we need is you. Are you
game? Who wants to run a GOTA station? Don't miss out on a fun time, mark
your calendar and stop by Dufresne Park in Granby for the time of your life!

That's enough for now, but expect quite a bit of 'chatter' on this list as
Field Day approaches.
