[HCRA] Strange phone call from a HAM I never knew

Yes, I got that exact same phone call, when I got my ticket, as I recall.  I
remember that the person read "X-RAY" in between the sentences, and read it
very regimented.  What I didn't know at the time was that it was a radigram.
We got it on the answering machine, however.  I think you'll find this sort
of thing happens a lot in amateur radio, and for some reason, there is no
explaination sometimes.  See you all at Field Day!
