Well folks, it's only eight days until Field Day set-up starts next Friday.
A large number of people participating in this year's effort were on hand
this past Wednesday to review and finalize the plans. Things are looking
great.

It looks like we will be class 7A again this year. Other than that expect a
LOT of changes. Steve has really put together a more efficient station
layout and some superior antennas. All stations will have a great
opportunity to make a lot of contacts.

Food is being handled by Andy, KB1FVL and he's got an interesting menu
prepared, including a roast beef dinner for Saturday evening.

Dave (from YW distributed power systems) has everything all set from his
end.

The park is ours for the three days. We will have seven stations on HF
bands, running phone, CW and digital. Demos of ATV, SSTV and R/C will be
running as well as a great public information table. Press releases have
been sent to all the local media.

So what are you waiting for? We are set to go, are you? Take some time out
of your busy schedule to come over and operate, log, work or just sit around
and learn some more about the hobby. Everyone is welcome, so bring a friend.
They don't have to be licensed or a member of HCRA to participate and have a
good time.

Remember, the Field Day station will be operating under the club call, W1NY.
As such the operators have the privileges of an extra class call - so no
matter what 'your' class of license (or no license) you can operate and have
a good time.

The dates again:

June 27th - set-up starts at 2:00 PM
June 28th - stations go on the air for 24 hours.
June 29th - opeations end at 2:00, then we take it all down so we can do it
again next year!

The place:

Dufresne Park, Route 202 in Granby, MA

The weather - it has to be GOOD (can't rain forever, can it?)
