It does indeed affect us. The proposed Mass bill(H2489)
exempts CB'ers but does not mention ham operators.

There is yet another bill due out next week and I do not
yet know it's text. It combines elements of the other
legislation from what I understand.

John Hennessee, N1KB, our regulatory issues person
at ARRL HQ is concerned about this kind of legislation.

That's too much of a fine to get hit with for 2 meter ops in
the car when we provide emergency comms and Skywarn
information. That could damage our hobby quite badly, IMHO.
