Well, it's midnight and conditions are not nearly as good as last year. I
hope you're doing better than me!
I got on just a little after 7:00 PM and there was quite a bit of local
activity on phone. I worked a few there, then tuned down to CW and found a
LOT more going on. Managed to work a some out of the local area including
GA, NC and IN. I did to work Marc, K1MZ on CW and later Tom, N1MUV on the
phone portion of the band.
I brief break for some food and back to the grind. I managed to eek out a
few more before midnight but I'm sure way behind where I was last year.
Final score as of today, 42 QSO's, 14 sections, 2072 points. I'm operating
low power mixed, probably 2/3 of my contacts were on CW.
Well, guess it's early to bed and early to rise. Maybe catch some of EU
before the band closes late tomorrow morning! (that's if it ever opens!!!)
Good luck, it was a pleasure working a few HCRA members during the evening.
Don't forget to turn in those logs!
