[HCRA] Holiday Party

It was nice to see so many people brave the impending storm and come to
the party. We had around 50 people there just in case you didn't have
time to look up from the delicious food and count! Dave's presentation
was interesting and there were a lot of comments from the 'peanut
gallery' when the 1954 tower pictures were shown. Another possibility
for a 'special event' station?

And as always, the amount of volunteerism in this club is simply
amazing. In addition to the folks who were the 'official volunteers' for
the party, many people pitched in and helped with setup and cleanup.
What can I say except - THANKS!

Andy & Eric surely picked the right place to purchase the food. Pajer's
meatballs, chicken champagne, salads - all well prepared, tasty and
plenty to go around. It was too bad they couldn't stick around to eat
some of it! Thanks to Larry & Faye for picking up the food and helping
throughout the evening. We couldn't have done it without you.

And the desserts! No more comment needed here, lots of tempting
delectibles from so many people.

The door prizes and raffle were fun also, putting a big smile on many
faces.

And the best thing was the snow held off until the very end, making for
a pretty easy trip home.

I think we have found the key to a good party here and will continue the
tradition again next year. I welcome your comments and suggestions and
we can fold them all into next years party.

Don't forget about the ARRL 10M contest next week (more to come later),
stay out to the snow, have a great holiday season and I'll see you all
next year, January 2nd, for an interesting presentation by Mike, K1TWF

Until then - '73....
