[HCRA] Field Day Logging Program

FD Gang,

I just downloaded and quickly tested CT for windows. This is pretty much
exactly the same as the DOS based version except it runs in windows. It's
what they call 'character based', so doesn't have mouse, menu bars or
anything like that. What it does have is COM port and LPT port support
without having to load and run TSR's. It installs easily and seems to run
just fine and gets along with other windows programs.

I tested it with an ICOM 746, rig control and CW keying from the printer
(parallel) port. It installed and worked just fine the first time. No
tweaking required, it just worked. That's cool!

If you want to give it a try before Field Day, download your copy from:
http://www.k1ea.com/program/index.htm, scroll about halfway down the page
and download CTWIN 9.90.001. It's a pretty big download (about 2 MB) but
still only took about 10 minutes on my slow dialup connection.

Start and run the program and play around with it. Alt-H brings up the help
menu. More tips can be found at http://www.k1ea.com.

Unless I run across something better I think we will settle on this for FD
logging. Still open to suggestions, so send them my way.
