Hey gang,

Just in case you forgot, tomorrow is the annual HCRA Auction. Bring your
friends (if you have any), relatives (that will still admit it) and of
course money and be prepared to have a good time. The doors open at 6:30 for
set-up, the auction will begin promptly at 7:30 if not earlier.

If you are bringing stuff to auction off, please mark them clearly with your
name, call and a reserve (minimum bid) and Jim & I will do our best to get
as much as we can for it. 10% (up to $100) will go to HCRA, the rest goes in
your pocket! If you have a lot of inexpensive, assorted items it would be a
great help if you grouped them in boxes or bags and listed the contents on
the outside. This will help the auction to proceed at a faster pace and
probably get you more $$$ to boot.

We are still accepting donations (have we ever stopped!) so if you have some
items that meet that criteria please bring them along. Simply mark them
"club donation" (and your name/call) and we will auction them off, the
proceeds benefit the HCRA and we will give credit to you also. I guarantee
you will sleep better and work more DX because of your donation!

And... the grand prize of the auction raffle is a Yaesu FT-817. You could go
home a winner of this extremely popular HF/VHF/UHF multi-mode rig for as
little as $1. The odds are much better than the state lottery also, such a
deal.

Hope to see you tomorrow evening at the auction.
