A quick Field Day update - less than three weeks until Fday!
Dave has finished up this year's version of the FD Primer. Download your
copy now at: http://www.hcra.org/field_day.htm
I've included both .pdf and .doc versions. Dave did his usual nice job, the
new version includes the rule changes and a great "how-to" for the new
logging program.
Steve has created a site map, showing the station locations and antennas.
Steve is working hard to get a super antenna installation this year. One
that will give us good antenna gain and directivity and minimize station to
station interference.
Don, W1UPH announced on the 10M net tonight the Shriner's Radio Club would
like to visit us over FD weekend. Let's be sure we roll out the red carpet
for them, it will be great to have the visitors and the help.

IRLP Node #727
The node has had a few hiccups over the last 24 hours but all is working
well again. Be sure to give it a try, it's really neat to be able to punch a
few keys and talk to Antarctica! Remember, this is an OPEN node, meaning
it's open for us by ALL amateurs in range of the node. Membership in HCRA is
not required and all users have access to the entire IRLP system.
-----------------------
Tailgate party this Friday - only $5 for vendors, buyers are FREE. Hope to
see you there. Remember, HCRA will gladly accept donations for the 'club'
tailgate area! This will be your first chance to buy raffle tickets for the
FT817 to be given away at the November Auction. Tickets will be limited so
get yours early.
That's it for now, thanks for reading...
