If you can't wait for your USPS edition, and the dog ate your electronic
version - don't despair!!!

You can go to: http://www.hcra.org/zerobeat/sept02.pdf and view or download
you very own copy. But... be prepared for some interesting reading, some
HCRA history and a lot of exciting future happenings. John again has done a
great job, I hope you enjoy your copy.

Don't forget about the meeting next Friday September 6th. Tom Frenaye will
be present bringing us up to date about the latest developments in our hobby
and making a special presentation to a long time local amateur, Larry Buck
will be on hand to talk about the Big-E, we've got some great raffle prizes
(win a Yaesu FT1500 for just a $!) and lots of catching up to do after our
summer vacation.

On tap for the rest of September is the Big-E HCRA day on September 18th and
of course the special event station at the Basketball Hall of Fame on the
28th and 29th. Give Larry, WB1DBY a call if you would like to help out with
either of these events. The Hall of Fame should be very interesting this
year. It's the grand opening of the new hall, lots of celebrities including
Magic Johnson and Larry Bird, fireworks, etc. Bring your autograph book and
your logbook! We will be operating from a self-contained motor home (Thanks
Jan) in the visitor area of the parking lot. Larry can easily be reached by
email at [email protected] if you would like to volunteer for the excitement.

Don't forget to get your renewal in before October 7th so you will get in
the drawing for the Icom IC-Q7A HT.

See everyone Friday...
