Hi everyone,
It's been a busy week at HCRA. The link radio arrived and the IRLP project
will be completed in the near future. In the meantime, try out the eQSO
gateway on 146.46, evenings and weekends. The PL tone is 114.8. There has
been a lot of DX on it, England, Spain, Brazil to name a few. Great way do
work DX with your handheld.
Field Day plans are beginning to gel. A group of FD participants met at
Dufresne Park on Friday to discuss particulars about number of stations,
antennas and locations, networking and power distribution. This promises to
be as much fun as the past few years, all we need is good weather and great
propagation! As always, FD is open to everyone, hams & non-hams, so stop on
by, bring your neighbor, have a burger and a good time. To keep abreast of
the latest in FD planning, just check the web page at:
http://www.hcra.org/field_day.htm
Don't forget the cutoff date for the May Zero Beat is April 20th. If you
have any articles ready, please forward them to John ASAP so he can get them
into the May issue.
The NEQP (New England QSO Party) is May 4th and 5th. This should be a lot of
fun and you even have the possibility to win a plaque sponsored by HCRA.
Steve, Jim and myself will be roving Saturday afternoon (May 4th),so look
for us in some of those rare VT counties. All the contest information is
available at: http://www.neqp.org The organizers of this event are really
looking for support from all the local clubs. Let's see how well we can
support their effort.
Lastly, if you can help out with the special event station for missing
children, call or email Sheree Greenwood at: [email protected] or
check their website for all the details:

That's it for now, stay tuned to the web page and to 146.46 for the latest
on the IRLP node.
As always, thanks for your support of HCRA
