[HCRA] FW: New England QSO Party - May 4th-5th

Hi everyone,

Attached is a copy of a message from Tom Frenaye about the New England QSO
Party. As you know, the HCRA is sponsoring a plaque for this event. The
award will be for the highest single operator score in Hampden County.
Wouldn't it be great if an HCRA member won the plaque?

The best way to make this happen is to get on the air and operate. I saw
quite a show of hands at Friday's meeting that were going to operate, so we
should have a good chance. Jim, Steve and I will be in NH at the Hosstraders
hamfest and we are planning on roving (mobile operation) after the hamfest.
I'll probably be operating from home on Sunday.

Looking forward to working everyone in the NEQP!!!

We hope you'll participate in the New England QSO Party on the first weekend
of May this year.   It runs from Saturday, May 4th at 4pm EDT until 11pm
EDT, and from Sunday at 7am EDT until 8pm EDT.   Full rules and information
are located on the New England QSO Party web site at:

The event is supported by clubs in all New England states and we expect a
lot of activity and interest.   We're trying pretty hard to get all of the
New England counties (67) on the air this year.   You can really help us out
by getting all 14 of the Massachusetts counties on for the event - we've
even got a Reserve Your County web page set up to track who will be on in
which counties.   Please let us know if you'll be on for at least part of
the contest - and if you have any questions.   We're also looking for clubs
or individuals to sponsor some plaques for the top scorers - contact us if
you have some interest!
