[HCARC] Update on Club Station

The installation of our club station is progressing.

 

On Wednesday (Oct. 6), beginning around 10:30-10:45 am, I plan to install
the club's Force 12 C3 Yagi on our tower. This will include: installing the
mast, rotor and control line; installing and aligning the C3 Yagi; and
running coax from the C3 down the tower. Time permitting, I will check the
C3 for proper operation, attach electrical conduit to the wall and run the
cables from the tower through it, and connect the cables to their respective
lightning arrestors in the junction box.

 

For Wednesday I could really use around 3 to 4 helpers to help me assemble
the C3 on the ground and mount it to the mast. I will need to tilt over the
tower to do this work. Then the tower will need to be raised to a vertical
position again. A few strong arms will help make this work go quicker.
You're also welcome to come to observe, if you're interested in how all this
is done.

FYI, the HCARC clubhouse is located at 3832 Riverside Drive, Kerrville,
adjacent to the Hill Country Youth Event Center (Ag Barn). I'll have the
main gate open next to our building so you can park near the building.
