Peter worked hard to clean the coffee pot and it was reported that the coffee was better. The Core breakfast - pizza, Kolaches and mixed berry muffins were great. Some of the things that were shared were: A Hantek2D72 70MHZ handheld Oscilloscope/multimeter and rugged Yellow instrument enclosure from CircuitSpecialists for $239.95 delivered. This portable O Scope is a must have tool. Who every dreamed that at this price point we could enjoy such a test instrument. A GPSDO 10MHZ output sine wave + antenna + power supply 2020 $133.50 from rf-experts A long conversation ensued about the history of timing standards, including the difference between an oven controlled crystal oscillator and a temperature controlled one. The advantages of a GPS Disciplined Oscillator were discussed. Mort had handouts on the GPSDO which were great. A MR4 Sniffer $295 made in Australia used for DFing and Fox Hunting was shown. It has an automatic attenuator built in and is used with a highly tuned 3 element yagi $175 from Bob Miller Enterprises. Conversation of how electronics continue to get better and cheaper. A good time was had by all. Hope to see you next month. Peter Naumburg k5lb at arrl.net
