Bill-

I was in the barber shop prior to June 6th when Norman came in for a haircut. He was telling us about the trip he was about to take to Normandy and receive another medal.

He told us about Hermann Goring and the Nuremberg Trials. Jokingly, I asked him if he was the fellow who gave Hermann Goring the poison.

He is a delight to be around. I encourage others to stop by and listen to his stories. It reminded me of Forrest Gump. Amazing how one person experienced such an interesting part of history. He has a fantastic memory, very sharp.

Norman Rigsby (K5LYO) Just moved to Alpine Terrace in Kerrville

Norman has been a Ham Radio Operator since 1947 and is a D Day
Survivor..   After D Day he was one of General Paton's Motorcycle Scouts
in the battle of the Bulge.   Finally he was one of the MPs at the
Nuremberg Trials.   I attached a couple of links to pictures.  The
second picture shows Norman to the far LEFT of General Hermann Göring

People of Norman's generation are passing away fast.   If anyone wants
to visit him he's at:
Alpine Terrace Room #313B
746 Alpine Dr
Kerrville TX 78028

... but hurry he might be moving in with his daughter in Houston.
