[HCARC] Special Amateur Extra Class this Fall

Dale Gaudier, K4DG and instructor extraordinaire has agreed to put on an Extra Upgrade class this Fall if I could find enough interest.  He originally said 8-10 people were needed so I have asked around of the General Class operators I know in HCARC, KARS and the South Texas DX and Contesting Club and have found 11 willing to take the class.  So far I have not heard back from the Kendall Area Club, nor from about half of the Generals in our club.  SOOOOOO, here is another chance to participate. 

In fact it occurs to me that there might be some Advanced Class Operators who desire to upgrade.  Well you all are invited too, we won’t discriminate against you Old guys and Gals (Assumed Old since Advanced Class hasn’t been around for awhile and old is now defined as being licensed before 2012 when I got my Tech License).

Since this class won’t happen for a number of months there is plenty of time for Club Technician Class Operators to get their General Class Ticket and then come and take this Extra Class Training.  In fact having studied and passed the General Class Test should give you a leg up, as much of material in the Extra Exam is on each of the Class tests – FCC Rules and propagation, and basic Electronic theory, etc don’t change as you go up in class.
