I completely agree Kerry! After about two minutes of listening to the 
net waiting to check in, I decided it wasn't going to be a net so I 
bailed out.

Unfortunately my only 2M antenna is an omni vertical about 20' in the 
air and being in the NW quadrant of the county will limit my ability to 
communicate with everybody else, but there could be relay stations to 
pick up those antenna deprived stations like me. Planning on a tower at 
some point though.
