There was an M2.4  class flare starting about 0000 Z.  The flare lasted 
over 2 hours and caused a Polar Cap Absorption (PCA) event that began 
around 0400 Z.  There was also a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) but it's 
impact is not known yet.  The sunspot group is not the one that just 
appeared but the older large group.  It will be on the visible portion 
of the sun for a few more days.

Haven't tried LOTW, but following the latest Microsoft update, I have a genealogy program (Family Tree Maker) that no longer works and my anti virus software (AVG) will no longer update.  Also, my system has slowed down considerably. I think it is about time to get rid of Microsoft.

Windows is now a VIRUS THAT IMITATES AN OPERATING SYSTEM (OS)!!

They taken on the same business plan as several big corporations like Google,
and others that mine data and sell it.  (why you think they gave away Win. 10?)

Its also why I'm staying at Windows 8.1 and turned off all updates for my ONLY
Windows system that only runs my Scalar Network Analyzer.
