It’s time to make more hail pads to claim the free lunch from Whataburger offered by the head trainer for SKYWARN for anyone who sends in a “used” hail pad.  A hail pad is a 1 foot by 1 foot square of styrofoam covered with heavy duty aluminum foil.  Place it out by your rain gauge and when it hails the impact of the stones leaves impressions in the foil that weather people can “read”.  They want them – we should make them and deploy them.  I have extra styrofoam squares I can distribute.
