just in:

Latest visible satellite continues to show cloud streets across the
I-35 corridor that suggests the atmopshere there remains capped just
enough. Cumulus field thus far does not appear too agitated with
little evidence of vertical extent. We have cooled a few degrees the
past 2 hours also and we are likely getting close the convective
window closing for the I-35 area until later this evening and early
Wednesday morning. A storm could still be possible over the next hour
but by 8-9pm it will be quite difficult as convective inhibition
builds back in. Also, updated timing for a line of thunderstorms later
appears to be Hill Country 11pm-1am and then the I-35 corridor 1-3am
and the weaken into the coastal plains 3-6am.
