[HCARC] New ARRL Contest

Not sure if it will be W1AW operating or just others. Either way it seems
like a good idea keeping interest up. The more active the membership and
ARRL is the better. That ARRL membership is going up is not much of a
surprise - everything else is going up likewise. Only the Guberment will
tell you there is no inflation - but then inflation doesn't measure food,
lodging , nor fuel cost. Like there is much else. What we are doing to the
US Dollar (devaluing it to cover National Debt) assures that prices will
rise - remember Germany after WWI.

OK, I can see it now. W1AW/5-BB at Big Bend, W1AW/7-YE at Yellowstone,
W1AW/6-YS at Yosemite. I can hardly wait. With ARRL membership going
up to $49 there is no telling how much the certificates and plaques will
cost.
