Very good, Steve.  That was on SSB I'm guessing.  Frequently there are 
stations in that area that are pretty easy to work. particularly good 
times are just before or after a DX contest when there are stations from 
Europe and North America that are down on the islands for the contest 
and do some fairly casual operating for a couple days before or after.  
There are also several stations in Central America that are easy to 
work.  You can get a pretty good DXCC total just working stations in 
that area.

80 meters is actually a good band particularly this time of year. Its 
biggest problem is lack of stations.  This is the time of year to be 
looking for DX on 80.
