[HCARC] Windows 10 and CORTANA

Once we all upgrade to windows 10 – yes I realize many will fight it for as long as possible – we get use, with some onerous strings attached, of a program called CORTANA which is Microsoft’s version of Apple’s SIRI and Google’s OK GOOGLE. Basically they are voice recognition programs that allow you to talk to your computer or in the case of SIRI and OK Google to your phone or Android device. For instance I can say to my phone “OK Google what will the weather be for the next 10 days in Kerrville, TX “and She (it’s a woman’s voice) comes back and tells me. I can get OK Google to open apps, do math functions, search the internet, etc. Wouldn’t it be great to interface CORTANA with something like Ham Radio Deluxe and be able to tell CORTANA to tune the radio to 14.228 mhz or after a QSO tell “her” to log the QSO and send the logged contact to LOTW. Don’t laugh – it’s coming probably sooner than we think. For all I know someone has already done it.

Just Dreaming......

Merry Christmas and 73,
