Has anyone come up with or found on the internet any plans on how to convert parts from a TV antenna to a 900 MHZ Yagi?? I have the antenna to play with and there should be plenty left over from making a 6M/2M/70cm yagi antenna or two.
Has anyone ever looked at the Penninger Easy-Tip antenna masts ( www.Penninger.com ). Beautiful, but pricy. I have found a company on Ebay that sells all kinds of 6061 aluminum U-channel, solid rods, aluminum sheet, aluminum tubing for what seem to be great prices so one could make some of their tip over mast bases for a fraction of the cost from Penninger. They should also work with the aluminum military mast poles. Penninger sells a rotating guy wire ring that works with the military mast sections that would allow an antenna like a HexBeam to rotate. The aluminum company sells 12 inch wide by 1/4 inch thick aluminum plate that could be fashioned into the needed hex mounting plate.
