Field day (wherever it is held) just got a little easier today.  Tony Moore (KG5AAO) and I went down to Upper Turtle Creek (BACKACRE RD) and picked up two 30 foot DX Engineering style push up masts that are like the one Bill Tynan (K3XO) has that he says belongs to the club.  We now have access to 3 thirty foot tall push up masts, 50 four foot aluminum Military mast sections, 24 four foot fiberglass mast sections (donated to the club by N5BAA) and a tower trailer supposedly owned by the club that Dr Jim stores.  At least to put antennas up at approx 30 feet we are getting pretty well independent of the need for trees and tall structures at a field day site.  With the above we can erect 12 thirty foot tall masts plus the tower.  We are getting there.  I know there are several more sets of mast sections owned by other club members, so we might be better off yet.
