[HCARC] Grounding Club Station

Harvey,

Good show on grounding the club station.  Johnny McGown asked me on Field Day why it wasn’t grounded and I had to tell him I had no clue, hadn’t even thought to look – but grounding is never a bad thing. 

Terry Hipskind also indicated that while working on the grounding you discovered an extra Coax run from the outside that we/you didn’t even know we had.  That’s great, as it will allow us one more way to connect with the outside of the building.  Running the coax through the back door worked – sort of – I’m sure the RC won’t like to have paid extra for A/C as a good bit of warm air was coming in the partially open door.  If we were to move the 20-10 Vertical to it’s own Coax for Field Day we could for safety’s sake move the 20-10 position on the antenna switch directly to the Cantenna with a short piece of Coax to prevent someone from accidently switching to it and trying to transmit into an antenna that was no longer hooked up.  Never can be too careful!!
