[HCARC] Amateur Radio Parity Act of 2014

There is an online petition circulating among the ham radio community in
support of a bill pending in Congress called the "Amateur Radio Parity Act
of 2014" (HR.4969). This bill would require the FCC to apply the
requirements of PRB-1, which requires state and local governments to
reasonably accommodate ham radio activities, including allowing outdoor
antennas, to private homeowner associations and override anti-antenna deed
restrictions.

 

Having lived in a deed-restricted community in Houston for 12 years, I have
a lot of sympathy for the petition and getting the bill enacted.
