[HCARC] 2m Meter Contact With Someone In Poland

Most impressive even via echolink.  I was wondering if yesterday was one of 
those MAGIC OPENING sort of days.  Probably not since the ARRL email letter 
today was bemoaning terrible conditions (solar storm) for this weekends CW 
DX contest.

I talked with a German station in East Germany near the Polish border
Via Echolink. K5HV<>N5HR>ECHOLINK<>DO1FY/Portable.  He connected  to N5HR.
After a few minutes it timed out.
It was interesting anyway.

Rumor has it someone named Harvey K5HV had a 2 meter contact yesterday over
the repeater with a Ham in Poland.  If true and it was a real radio to radio
contact (not via the computer, etc) that is quite a feat.  Congrats Harvey.
