Meeting Minutes
3 July 2014
MEETING COMMENCEMENT
The meeting was called to order by President Terry Hipskind (W0HIP) who led us in the Pledge Of Allegiance. There were 32 people in attendance with 3 guests from Texas MARS
MEMBER AND GUEST RECOGNITION
President Hipskind explained the 50/50 and gave out tickets to the following people for having helped during the past month: Dale Gaudier (K4DG) for teaching Morse Code Class, Chuck Brainard (KA1PM) twice for tower work by Harvey Vordenbaum (K5HV) and Bill Tynan (W3XO), Mike Connor (K5MJC) for Field Day tower work, Mort McKenzie (WB2GEZ) for helping Bob Ritchie (K5YB) with his radio and for repair to Ray Owen’s (KF5VNC) radio, to Harvey V. for loaning a mic to Ray Owen, Bob Ritchie and Gale Heise (KM4DR) for helping Hank Folk (KF5QBF), and Ruthie Guida for refreshments. A personal thanks from Gary Johnson (N5BAA) on behalf of all the people at Field Day for the wonderful rolls and banana bread at Field Day.

The minutes were posted and approved.
The Treasurers report was read and approved
OLD BUSINESS
Repeater Committee: Chuck Brainard and Harvey Vordenbaum (K5HV) have been working on the repeater.

The presentation was in two parts:
by Gary Johnson (N5BAA) on Field Day Results;
Texas Army MARS presentation which was an absolutely great presentation on both the MARS system and on NVIS Antennas and on the Austin Ionosond. It should be noted for all that N5BAA has received copies of all of the slides presented in PDF format and they can be sent out to any interested club member.
