[HCARC] 2 Meter Antenna

Greetings,

It seems I am have a lot of qrm out here in my part of Harper, with my 2m
radio. Nothing has changed for the exception of my base rig was in the
shop, but after I compared both my Baofeng and my Alinco DR 605 on the
repeater, it seems I have a bit of static. John Canfeild seems to be
getting good enough TX/RX so not quite sure, with so many variables and not
much testing equipment.

So now I am shopping for another 2m antenna with a greater gain.

Questions:

1. Any recommendations? Perhaps a Yagi pointed towards Kerrville?
Such as this quick search brought up:

2. Or something else? I will probably call DXEngineering on Monday and
start shopping around, and in the meantime relocate my antenna and check
the feed lines and connections.

There is so much out there, perhaps even a 100w amp would suffice also.

It would not be a big deal, but I need to get on the Net for SKYWARN ops.

So anything with High Gain, I can erect the antenna probably another 10ft
or so, above it's current ~15 by stacking Galvanized fence post.

Thanks in advance
