Harry, did your HF mobile radio trigger your brake malfunction? Or this cross post?

I knew a ham who drove a newer model Ford F150. His HF radio would turn off / jam his truck's computer when he transmitted on 20 meters SSB. He'd be driving along at traffic speed & lose all power when he keyed up his microphone on 20. Only by turning off the ignition & restarting the engine, could he recover. He worked with the Ford dealer, but never found a solution that worked. Shielding and relocating power & coax lines had no effect.  He ended up just not using 20 meters while driving. He could do 40 & other bands okay, just not 20.
