Hello,

I have 3 mobile radios, but 2 are giving me a hoot of a time with problems
that I cannot diagnose or figure out atm.

1st,

The Alinco DR-605 I can receive, but it does not seem to transmit and the
meter that would otherwise show a transmission only stays on for a brief
second and goes off. I know I can receive because I can go out on my back
porch with my hand held Yaesu FT-411 and have the XYL hear me on the Alinco
on the front porch. I have tried several antennas and feed line, coax
setups but am not sure beyond that, also I did a full reset of the unit. I
just cannot seem to find in the user's manual what the problem might be.

It has a trouble-shooting section for the TX but I tried to do what it said
and still I am having no luck.

Now with the Azden, the power comes on and I can hear with the squelch
turned off, but the back light seems to be bad or I am missing out on
something with that as well. The user's manual is quite old and does not
cover a whole lot about troubleshooting.

Now before everyone gets all in an uproar about me using 2m and 70cm in
Harper, I don't really care, it is a mobile and I plan to use it in my
truck, but not until I know it works from my test table.

Thanks in advance.
