[HCARC] Mouser vs. Digi-Key

  For those that may purchase electronic components I want to pass along a recent experience.

  I recently purchased a Dentron 160 – 10L amplifier that utilizes 4-572B tubes.  One of the power supply filter capacitors is arcing internally so I decided to replace all of the capacitors.

  I pulled up a reference I had for the high quality capacitors purchased from Mouser several years ago when rebuilding the power supply on a Dentron Clipperton-L amplifier.  Searched the Mouser website for the capacitors which resulted in a 14 week delivery time and the minimum order quantity is now 350.  As a result, I went to Digi-Key and found the caps in stock with a minimum quantity order of 1.  The bonus is that Digi-Key offers every imaginable shipping option from USPS, UPS and FedEx.

  Digi-Key will be my default provider in the future.
