[HCARC] Repeater and WX Link

Hi to all HCARC

We have a standing invitation to install our repeater on the 400 foot KKER tower east of town. Mort and Harvey have seen the site and I have 24 hour access to the building as I help the broadcast engineer in Houston take care of the stations in Kerrville and Stonewall.

This location would give us a solid coverage footprint in our part of the hill country.  We might be able to reach the WX office with the omni antenna that we use for our repeater.  If not then we could also install a beam to the southeast and use a simplex frequency with a second radio.

Normal and backup power is available and free as is Internet access.
The equipment could be controlled via Internet or 430 radio link.
Our monthly cost would be $25 which is less than half of what we are paying now.

All we need now is the desire and willpower to do the project!!!!
