[HCARC] Question about repeater

I have a solar panel which I have never used. I also have a couple of batteries. One may be bad and the other will need to be tested with the solar panel. Do we have any solar power experts in the group?
If all that works then we can use one of those West Mountain Power Gates.
We would also need to have a telemetry interface to let us know when it is on battery power in case the a/c doesn't come back on in a reasonable time.

Mort and I are thinking about installing a 430 MHZ radio to provide a control link.
This could replace the telephone line.

We discussed the potential of solar backup 2-3 meetings ago after the formal meeting had ended. If I recall the problem was a battery safety question.
