Hill Country Limestone is truly no match for this big Dewalt Rotary Hammer drill. Remember it next time you need to punch some holes in the ground.
Gale – if you are done with it by the Christmas Party just return it then (I assume you are coming) – no need for a special trip back to CP.
I have bits up to 4 feet long (1 1/4 inch diameter), 3/4”, 7/8” both 3 feet long, and 1 1/2” and 1 5/8” by 2 feet long. Good for almost any kind of boring in hard concrete or softer rock. I am contemplating getting a 3 3/8th inch bit that is about 18 inches long for putting pipe posts in the ground.

Chuck-
Thanks to Gary loaning me his electric rotary hammer drill and heavy gage electrical cable I’m ready to pour concrete into the anchor Ts. Having utilized a light weight rotary drill in the past I couldn’t believer how fast I was able to drill the rebar pin holes. Gary said it was fast, now I’m a believer.
I have 5 reverse angle pins of 5/8” rebar from 8 1/2 – 10 inches into solid limestone with the deepest penetration in the shallowest T. Tied a lower layer of 1/2 rebar and an upper layer of 5/8” rebar at the top of the anchor T. I came up with a method of aiming the anchor towards the middle of a 90 ft. tower, holding it into position and making sure the eyelet is vertical when I pour the concrete.
Scheduled to pick up a mixer and begin hauling Quick Crete in the morning. Have a fellow lined up to begin hauling another 22 bags of Quick Crete for the tower base on Monday morning. Also on Monday morning Bob Richie and a neighbor are going to help me take down my existing 4 element beam.
I may have mentioned I made an offer on a T8 and the fellow said he wants to think it over.
Take care,
Gale
