[HCARC] FSK Keying

To All-

  Thanks to everyone who has offered to help me with a solution regarding Direct Keying of FSK to my rig.  FSK keying for RTTY allows one to take advantage of narrow internal rig filters which are very helpful during crowded band conditions during contests.

  I have a simple interface that has a FSK output on it but it wasn’t keying properly while running MMTTY, the RTTY keying software.  I thought my only remaining solution was to simply get another modern keying unit compatible with USB ports.

  The simple interface was designed around a serial output port on older computers where it worked fine.  After a number of failed attempts to get it running properly I went to the AA5AU RTTY webpage via a Google “MMTTY FSK Keying Problem” search.  There I found that when one utilizes a USB to Serial Port converter an EXTFSK.DLL file needs to be downloaded, installed and several setup modifications made.  Once this was completed I now am able to operate FSK in N1MM & MMTTY.
