I needed a switch for a recently purchased Kenwood R-1000.  It’s a 30 year old radio and when I called Kenwood they just laughed – their customer service was non-existent, bordering on rude.  I guess I own my first and last Kenwood – I am spoiled by Elecraft’s and TenTec’s level of customer service.   I then joined the Yahoo R-1000 users group and they sent me this link for old Kenwood parts – BINGO, it’s on order.  The link is in no way connected to the Kenwood Radio Corp.
